Welcome to the Inaugural Joseph S. Haas Intern

In 2024, the Chicago Yacht Club Foundation created the Joseph S. Haas Intern Program. We are delighted to announce that Natalia Yarbrough will join the Foundation this month. In looking for the inaugural intern, we sought a passionate and dedicated college student who would become a key part of our team for the summer of 2024 and make a positive impact on our organization. The Haas Intern Program has been funded through a generous gift from Joseph S. Haas, a Past Commodore of the Chicago Yacht Club and longtime sailor and business executive with a passion for teaching.

“For many years my Company and I have supported a summer intern program," says Commodore Haas. "It is very difficult for these individuals to have this experience without outside support. In virtually all cases, there was a very positive impact on the intern’s life and future career. When asked I readily agreed to support the Foundation in this endeavor and wish Natalia the best this summer.”

Ms. Yarbrough is a student at Loyola University studying Criminal Justice, Business Administration, and Spanish.
