Our programs are designed to address four stages of interest and experience in boating:
Introduction, Induction, Development, and Inspiration.

Introduction: Entry points to boating; first-time experiences for Chicagoland youth.

Induction: For youth interested in learning more, inductive experiences include multi-day sailing programs.

  •  STEAM After School Programs - hands-on exploration of boating through science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.

  • Adventure Boating Camps - a survey of boating activities and adventures including sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and fishing out of Belmont Harbor.

  • Monroe Sailing Camps- learn to sail camps that incorporate weather and navigation out of Monroe Harbor

  • Judd’s Sailing Camp - Adaptive sailing for youth with disabilities, in partnership with the Judd Goldman Adaptive Sailing Foundation.

  • Swim School - funding for youth swim lessons, fostering safety and skill in and around the water.

Development: Youth who want to be boaters excite us, and we can foster their skill advancement.

  • Sailing School Financial Assistance - Sailors experiencing financial need are encouraged to apply for financial assistance to any Chicago-area sailing school.

  • Lead HER Ship - a five-day sailing expedition on Lake Michigan aboard the Tall Ship Inland Seas for young women in high school.

  • Sea Scout Ship 5870 Privateer - Sea Scout ship Privateer, the oldest Sea Scout ship in the nation.

Inspiration: We support sailors seeking to compete at high levels, in part to generate inspiration to our younger aspiring sailors who are in the introduction, induction, and development stages.
