As I write this, I can see the last few boats heading down the river to their winter homes. As the end of our boating season approaches, it’s a great time to reflect on the prior season. 2024 has been an epic year for your Chicago Yacht Club Foundation. In 2024, we have doubled the number of community sailing camps we’ve offered to our youth. We’ve doubled the number of after-school programs offered, with more than 70 programs already completed this year. We have tripled the number of our youth in swimming education programs, with more than 350 youth learning to swim through our efforts in 2024.  We started a community sailing program at Monroe Harbor. And we launched our new InSPIRE post-secondary education scholarship program, with more than $26,000 in scholarships awarded this year. And I am proud to share that we have increased the number of youth we’ve served by 50 percent––with more than 1500 kids participating in our programs.
